Reports of restriction on entry of vehicles to Baku from districts confirmed

Baku – APA. Road Safety Commission under the Cabinet of Ministers held a meeting on July 23.

The Commission told AZERTAC that the decision "On additional measures on improvement of traffic movement in Baku” was passed at the meeting.

According to the decision, Interior Ministry’s Main State Traffic Police Office, Ministry of Transport and Baku City Executive Authority were instructed to restrict the movement of trucks with permissible maximum weights more than 5 tons in Baku from 07:00 to 22:00 from May 1 to October 1 and from 07:00 to 21:00 from to October 1 to May 1, except movement of all types of vehicles of special purposes, including crash-recovery and emergency vehicles, those carrying agricultural products. The movement of trucks with weights more than 5 tons in the daytime should be agreed with the Road Safety Commission under the Cabinet of Ministers and organized under special permits of Interior Ministry’s Main State Traffic Police Office.

According to the decision, new passenger trains on Baku-Sumgayit-Baku route will be commissioned by September 15 this year.

The Ministry of Transport was instructed to submit to the Road Safety Commission the proposal on the construction of the direct way to Baku ring road 1 from Ziya Bunyadov Avenue within 10 days.
