Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. As of June 1, 2016, the number of economically active population made 4,945,200 thousand in Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports.
The State Statistical Committee says number of hired workers made 1,501,600, including 891,000 workers in state sector, 610,600 in no-state sector, 34,400in oil sector, 1,467,200 in non-oil sector.
Number of official unemployed population made 34,000 as of June 1, 2016. 37.8% of them were women.
Average amount of allowance for unemployment stood at AZN 250.1.
