Baku. Shahriyar Alizadeh – APA. Today, the execution of the pardon decree has started in Azerbaijan.
APA reports that the pardon decree was signed by the President Ilham Aliyev on October 14.
The pardon decree was applied to 153 prisoners. 34 people were freed from unserved part of their imprisonment, 3 were freed from suspended sentence, 10 from correctional work and 16 from the pecuniary penalty.
Former Economic Development Minister Farhad Aliyev and his brother former president of Azpetrol company Rafig Aliyev have also been pardoned.
The pardon decree is also applied to some foreigners.
