Answering APA’s questionnaire, the Ministry of Education said that the selection process, interviews with candidates and the approval of candidates by the Education Commission are being continued.
Most of 94 persons will study at universities in the United Kingdom, Turkey and Canada. 45 persons will be sent to the UK, 10 to Turkey and 9 to Canada. Most popular professions among Azerbaijani students enrolled in foreign universities are economy (28 students), ICT (15 students) and engineering (12 students). The universities, which have been most preferred by the students from Azerbaijan, are the University of Manchester, UK (16 students), Glion Institute of Higher Education, Switzerland (6 students) and the University of Toronto, Canada (5 students).
Deadline for document admission on the State Program in connection with education abroad for 2013/14 academic year was between May 22 and August 16. Individual interviews with the candidates will last till August 30.
