Deputy Minister: There is a growing interest in vocational education in Azerbaijan

Baku. Konul Kamilqizi – APA. “The ministry’s call center has not been created for Teachers’ Day alone. The Education Ministry’s call center is regularly working and the number of requests received is high enough”, said Deputy Minister of Education Jeyhun Bayramov, APA reports.

He said relevant departments review each request and take necessary actions.

Bayramov also spoke about the issue of vocational education. He said vocational education is specified as one of the priorities of the State Strategy on the Development of Education in Azerbaijan: “We can see there’s a growing interest in this area. One of the main projects in this regard is the Modern Azerbaijani Professionals Project, which started last year. Some works have been carried out within the project. All of these projects are jointly being implemented with the participation of international and large local companies. We’re going to increase proficiency level as well as the public influence of vocational education. The number of such projects is gradually growing, and a new educational institution is expected to be opened soon”.
