Court passes judgment against APFP member Asif Yusifli

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. The Baku Court on Grave Crimes on Thursday finalized the trial of Asif Yusifli, a member of Azerbaijan Popular Front Party’s (APFP) supreme council.
During the hearing, presided over by judge Zeynal Aghayev, Asif Yusifli was sentenced to 7 years and 6 months in jail, APA reported.
Note that, Asif Yusifli was arrested in November 2014. A statement issued by the Internal Ministry said Baku resident Asif Yusifov had been detained for evading from an investigation initiated by the Main Organized Crime Department into the fact of his swindling AZN 7,700 from citizen Farida Zulfugarova.
He is charged with swindle causing a large amount of damage (Article #178.3.2) and falsification, manufacturing and selling of official documents and use of fake documents (Article #320.1).
