Baku. Malahat Najafova – APA. Baku will host the first Tequila Festival on November 24-28.
The event is aimed at promoting Mexico in Azerbaijan, the Mexican embassy in Azerbaijan told APA.
The embassy also held the first Festival of Mezcal Tasting in late October till early November.
Tequila is a distilled beverage made from the blue agave plant, named primarily after the area surrounding the city of Tequila in the northwestern Mexican state of Jalisco.
Mexican tequila industry had the capacity to process 900,000 Mg agave per year and 300,000 people are working in production of this drink.
