Rafig Huseynov told APA that they waited for a reply from Germany, but it was delayed. “Germans have not replied for a week. Finally they have said Professor is busy. Therefore, we were obliged to apply to Turkey. The doctor has been talked to. The operation will be made on Wednesday or Thursday."
Rafig Huseynov added that Heydar Aliyev Foundation has assumed the expenses. "The bill will be sent from Turkey soon. The operation will be made as soon as the money are allocated," he said.
Rafig Huseynov has been diagnosed with lung cancer.
