“My nephew Gorgud Dadashzade died of lung infection at Kudakan hospital in Tabriz Jan.20. However, doctors refuse to hand over the body to us due to unpaid 3,200 manats for treatment,” said Dadashov.
According to Dadashov, Iranian doctors said that his nephew died of another disease. “The baby recovered in Iran a week ago. Tumor in the liver and spleen disappeared. Then they said that the baby caught the infection. The doctors claim that the baby didn’t die of the diagnosis for which he was admitted to the hospital. His lung got infected in the hospital. Furthermore, several children died of the same disease in the hospital in the last two-three days,” he said.
Dadashov mentioned that doctors have told them nothing about the treatment cost in advance. “When the baby was still alive, they said that after treatment, they would tell the treatment cost. After the baby dies, they said that we have to pay 15,500 manats for treatment, noting that a charitable society in Iran has paid a considerable part of this amount. As a result, we have to pay 3,200 manats to the hospital. Upon paying this money, we will be able to take the body,” he said.
