Baku – APA. Production and submission of biometric passports to the citizens have started at Baku Regional Centre of General Passport, Registration and Migratoin Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The ministry's press service told APA that Interior Minister, Colonel General Ramil Usubov also attended the event.
Employees of Head Department participated in the different courses, seminars and trainings in Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Estonia, Croatia and other countries to learn international practice in application of biometric documents.
The Regional Centre consists of three floors. The passports are handed to the citizens on the second floor.
Interior Minister, Colonel General Ramil Usubov handed new biometric passports to 10 citizens.
