Baku. Konul Kamilgizi – APA. The duration of school year won’t be changed this academic year. Education Minister Mikayil Jabbarov told journalists that the school year is expected to be prolonged by 2-3 weeks in the next term, APA reports.
The Minister said that it has some reasons, as the duration of the academic year is shorter in Azerbaijan than in many developed countries: “It means additional teaching load for pupils. Therefore, we consider that the extension of the next academic year is one of the steps aimed at improving the quality of the educational process.”
