Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. Azerbaijan is expected to adopt a law on “Psychological aid and psychological service” this year.
MP Bakhtiyar Aliyev said there are enough materials for initial base and that the draft is likely to be developed together with the social policy committee.
He noted that the adoption of a law like this is of great importance to Azerbaijan: “We need to create a legal base and provide huge support to such psychological services, considering the growing number of suicides and acts of death in road accidents”.
The MP also said some psychological aid centers have started to operate in Azerbaijan, and the purpose of their activities is unclear: “Activities of the psychological aid centers created in accordance with law will be regulated”.
