Azerbaijan opens new Institute

ADA’s communication department told APA that the applicants taking exams for the 1st specialty group of the State Students Admission Commission (SSAC) can choose new "Computer Sciences" and "Information Technology and Systems Engineering" specialties offered by Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy. The specialties are part of process of expansion of ADA’s academic programs.


ADA’s Vice-rector for Strategy and Development Emin Huseynov said that the institute founded seven years ago as a center organizing short-term training programs for the employees of the Foreign Ministry has become a multi-profile university giving education on six bachelor's degree and three master's degree programs. ADA will cooperate with the world's leading universities in the establishment of Institute of Engineering and Information Technologies. Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, KAIST is one of such partners.


According to the agreement between the two universities, KAIST will work together with ADA to plan departments of the new institute, including departments of computer, mechanics, electricity, civil engineering, information technology systems, develop educational programs and involve famous foreign specialists as deans and professors.

In 2013-2014, along with computer and IT sciences, bachelor’s degree holders can also choose the sciences of International Relations, Business Management, Economy, State and Public Relations on 2nd and 3rd specialty groups at ADA. Having successfully completed the admission of master’s degree program early summer, ADA admitted about 100 students on the specialties of Diplomacy and International Relations, State and Public Policy and Executive MBA.
