Ganja. Azer Mammadli – APA. Azerbaijan’s Shamkir, Lithuania’s Siauliai have become sister cities.
On October 22, a protocol of intention on sister partnership was signed by Head of the Shamkir District Executive Authority Alimpasha Mammadov and Justinas Sartauskas, Mayor of Siauliai, APA’s western bureau reports.
It was noted during the signing ceremony that the establishment and development of bilateral economic and cultural relations between the regions will also expand relations between the two countries. The protocol signed between Shamkir and Siauliai will contribute to this process.
The protocol of intention envisages the establishment of mutual relations between Shamkir and Siauliai and the implementation of a number of projects in economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
