Azerbaijanâ€™s First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva visits two newly remodeled orphanage-kindergartens in Baku

President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva first visited orphanage-kindergarten No 315.

Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalibov informed the First Lady that the facility constructed in 1976 was overhauled under a state program for speeding up socio-economic development of Baku and its suburbs for 2011-2013 years.

Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva was informed that reconstruction work started in 2012.

The facility has a staff of about 20 specialists who will look after 230 children in 6 age groups.

First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva and her daughter Arzu Aliyeva then visited orphanage-kindergarten No8 in Khatai district.

Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalibov informed the First Lady that the facility occupies a total area of 1.2 hectares.

Several attractions were installed here for recreation and entertainment of children. The yard was covered with greenery.

Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva viewed a photo stand reflecting previous look of the facility.

A two-storey building, which was built in 1977, was overhauled under a state program for speeding up socio-economic development of Baku and its suburbs for 2011-2013 years.

The First Lady was informed that reconstruction work at the 220-seat orphanage-kindergarten started in 2012.

A staff of 49 specialists serves 190 children from 2 to 6 ages in 10 groups.
