Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. As of July 1, 2013, the number of hired workers in Azerbaijan’s economy made 1,490.300 and 891,800 of them worked in the state sector, 598,500 – in non-state sector, said the State Statistical Committee.
22.5% of workers were in education, 18.6% - in trade, vehicle repair, 12.7% - in industry, 8.8% - in medical and social services to population, 7.3% - in construction, 4.9% - in transport and storehouse, 3.5% - in professional, scientific and technical activity, 2.9% - in agriculture, forestry and fishery, 1.8% - in information and communication and 17% - in other spheres.
During January-June, the average monthly salary of hired workers in economy made AZN 410.8, up 6.8% from previous year.
