Baku. Shahriyar Alizade – APA. Baku court on Wednesday considered a motion filed by an investigative body for extension of the prison term for the deputy chairman of the Azerbaijan Popular Front Party (APFP) Fuad Gahramanli, who was arrested on charges of anti-state calls.
The court decided to prolong Gahramanli’s prison term till August 8, lawyer Yalchin Imanov told APA, noting that an appeal will be made against the court decision.
Fuad Gahramanli is charged under the Article 281 (public appeals directed against the state), 283 (inciting national, racial, social or religious enmity and hatred by using violence or threat of violence) and 220.2 (appeals to active insubordination to legal requirements of representatives of authority and to mass disorders, as well as appeals to violence above citizens).
