Armenian representatives don’t attend international forum in Gabala

Gabala. Elvin Yagubov – APA. “250 young people from 47 countries, including Armenia have been invited to the international forum “No Hate Speech Movement” being held in Gabala”, said Head of Division Youth Department of the Council of Europe, Head of the No Hate Speech Movement campaign Rui Gomes told journalists, APA’s local bureau reports.

 

He said Armenians are not attending the forum. According to him, the main goal of the forum is to bring the young people who are active at the national level and at the level of Europe together, allowing them to share their experiences, achievements, and expectations, and to contribute to the continuity and consultations of the organization:

 

“There will be group works and discussions on the issues of hate speech and discrimination together with local and foreign participants. During the discussions, the participants will be allowed to voice their opinions and proposals. One of the main goals of the forum is to invite the young people living in a state of war to be actively involved in achieving peace. Truth is the greatest diplomacy. During the forum, we’ll dedicate one of our panels to eradicate hate speech”.

 

R.Gomes said the campaign will give an impetus to build peace among youth from different countries.
