Armenia produces antipersonnel mines violating international conventions

Baku. Agha Jafarli – APA. “Armenia is producing antipersonnel mines, flagrantly violating the international conventions,” Director of “Azerbaijan Campaign to Ban Landmine” Public Union Hafiz Safikhanov said at today’s press conference, APA reports.

Safikhanov said that locally produced mines had been recently demonstrated at the exhibition held in Yerevan, Armenian government officials familiarized themselves with the mines. “Armenia’s mine production runs contrary to the international law. We are investigating the case. We will try Armenia’s this step to be included in the UN Mine Ban report for 2015,” he said.
