“Women are exposed to gender-based and other forms of violence. Throughout the world, it is very important to protect women and prevent violence. Every week a woman died because of domestic violence. In order to protect women, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of Azerbaijan cooperates with a number of international organizations and tries to prevent such cases. Elimination of violence is one of the main goals. All members of society should be involved in this process and mobilized in order to take appropriate countermeasures,” he added.
