“All the necessary medical aid was provided to them at the highest level,” the ministry said.
Urgent medical aid received a total of 100—30 from foreign citizens—calls during the race.
The ministry added that they have taken all the necessary actions to provide quality medical aid to athletes as well as delegations and guests from participating foreign countries. The medical station created for providing ambulatory treatment for participating athletes, the Central Hospital of Oil Workers, Clinic Medical Center, and Baku Health Center.
The modern ambulances with up-to-date equipment provided medical service on a 24-hour basis during the races.
