During the session participants expressed concern over the level of education in the Islamic world. It was noted that over half a billion of Muslims can neither write nor read. Several Islamic countries are suffering from the lack of professional teachers and education programs.
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev said the session ended with the adoption of a resolution.
A statement adopted on behalf of ISESCO as part of the session expresses concern over the developments taking place in the Islamic world.
