World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus voiced on Wednesday the institution's concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic in China, where new cases have been on a rise recently, APA reports citing Teletrader.
Speaking to reporters at a press conference, Tedros urged China to focus on vaccinating those at the highest risk of infection and offered the WHO's support in those efforts.
Earlier in the day, China received the first batch of BioNTech SE's vaccine against the virus from Germany.
