Foreign nationals continue to be evacuated from Iran to Azerbaijan via the Astara border crossing, APA’s southern bureau reports.
Since early morning, foreign citizens have been allowed to cross through the "Astara" border checkpoint. Medical assistance is provided when necessary.
Today, several families of foreign nationals of US, Chinese, and Iranian descent were cleared through customs in accordance with standard procedures and directed toward Baku.
Special reception offices have been set up outside the checkpoint, where representatives of various diplomatic missions receive their citizens.
The evacuees expressed gratitude for the warm treatment and the safe, smooth passage provided by the Azerbaijani side.
