"When I designed this order (Istiglal Order – ed.), I never thought I would receive it," People's Artist Farhad Khalilov said while receiving the Istiglal Order from President Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.
"You designed it yourself. You are also its author," the President noted.
Emphasizing that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev fulfilled the will of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev by liberating our lands from occupation and that the head of state successfully continues the policy of the National Leader, the People's Artist added:
"The Victory achieved in the 44-day war, and your interviews showed the world what Azerbaijan is and who Azerbaijan is. Indeed, this is something beyond imagination. Indeed, your experience is a quality that comes naturally. Of course, our Great Leader, our outstanding political figure, paved this way."
