A Roadmap has been signed between the Azerbaijan Metrology Institute (AzMI), subordinate to the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Central Office of Measures (GUM) of the Republic of Poland to develop cooperation in ensuring the uniformity of measurements and expand joint activities in new areas, APA-Economics reports.

According to the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control, the document was signed by AzMI Director General Khamis Seyranov and GUM President Rafał Kępka.

The document covers the study of measurement standards through comparisons, participation in international interlaboratory comparisons, exchange of experience in quality management systems, exchange of technical knowledge and personnel training, organization of joint scientific conferences and seminars, as well as training on international standards.

Within the framework of the Roadmap, it is planned to ensure the participation of measurement standards in comparisons, study measurement methods, and assess technical capabilities in the fields of acoustics, ultrasound and vibration, mass and related quantities, length, time and frequency, flow, electricity and magnetism, photometry and radiometry, ionizing radiation, and chemistry.

The document also includes issues related to the exchange of knowledge on methods for direct access to electronic certificates and reports, digital calibration certificates, and uncertainty assessment using artificial intelligence.

It should be noted that a Memorandum on Scientific and Technical Cooperation was previously signed between AzMI and GUM. The Roadmap is intended to ensure the implementation of that Memorandum and bring cooperation into practical application.
