"The talks I held in Azerbaijan today were future-oriented," Indian Minister of External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said at a press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, APA reports.
According to him, Indian companies have been operating in Azerbaijan for many years, and their investments, particularly in the oil and energy sector, are of great importance: "Today, we agreed not only to deepen these ties but also to expand them into new areas. We particularly emphasized the importance of transport and connectivity in a globalized economy. Both countries make significant contributions to the International North-South Transport Corridor. We agreed to coordinate more closely in this direction. We also explored ways to increase the number of direct flights and further deepen our relations."
