Tree- planting events held in Friendship Forest Complex in Karabakh

Tree planting activities have been continuously carried out since the beginning of the season in the Friendship Forest Complex, which was established in Jabrayil district by the joint initiative of Azerbaijan and Turkiye, APA reports citing the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.

Jabbar Garibov, an official of the Forestry Development Service, said that tree planting events are held daily both in the area of Friendship Forest and in the areas liberated from the occupation, mainly with complex relief and hard slopes. With the participation of the employees of the Regional Forestry Centers, tree seedlings grown in the nursery areas of the Ministry are planted, seeds are sown, and more than 1000 tree seedlings are sent to our country by the General Directorate f the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkiye are used in planting.

"The project, jointly organized by the Forest Development Service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the General Directorate of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Turkiye, envisages planting 40,000 seedlings in the Friendship Forest and surrounding areas, in a total area of 65 hectares."
