New reports have emerged reflecting "Toplum TV" operating at the expense of illegal grant funds attracted from abroad, APA reports.
It was determined that the persons currently detained in this case have obtained money from grant projects of Czech Republic's Prague Civil Society Centre, People in Need, Zinc Network, Open Information Partnership, Transitions, OC Media and other international donor organizations.
The funds were both cashed in foreign countries and brough to the country via various ways, as well as cashed within the country through bank accounts of which purposes were kept secret. During the this process conducted in a network format, the legislation was violated, and none of the projects was registered in the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan. The funds provided for the projects were divided into parts and transferred through banks in Azerbaijan, Georgia and some European countries.
