"Starting from January 1, 2025, new migration rules will come into effect in the Russian Federation. From this date onward, the temporary stay period for citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan within the territory of the Russian Federation will be limited to 90 days in a calendar year. This period can be extended if there are grounds provided for in the Russian Federation's legislation (obtaining a work patent, applying for temporary residence, etc.)," Head of the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan Vusal Huseynov said, APA reports.
He noted that citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan must register at their place of stay within 7 working days after crossing the state border of the Russian Federation.
