The remains of Elshan Taghiyev, who went missing in the First Garabagh War, were discovered 30 years later in the grave of an unknown soldier in Imishli and brought to his birthplace in Salyan district, APA's Mil-Mughan bureau reports.
A farewell ceremony was held for the martyr. The farewell ceremony was attended by the district administration, public representatives, military personnel, residents of the district and relatives of the martyr. After the farewell ceremony, the remains of the martyr Elshan Taghiyev were buried in the cemetery of Seyid Sadigli village of Salyan district.
Note that Taghiyev Elshan Gubad, a resident of Seyid Sadigli village of Salyan district, born in 1971, was martyred in the battles for Fuzuli in 1994 and was buried as an unknown soldier in the Imishli cemetery.
