During the XII Global Baku Forum, a panel discussion titled "Global Health Crisis: New Frontiers in Preparedness and Equity" was held, APA reports.
Health Minister Teymur Musayev emphasized that artificial intelligence should be integrated into legislation and used fairly. He highlighted the challenges faced by global health, including pandemics and climate issues, and stressed the importance of zero-emission principles and the construction of "green hospitals."
Ismail Serageldin, Co-Chair of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, addressed the need for active efforts against diseases like measles and rubella, especially in underdeveloped countries. Former Moldovan Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici pointed out that misaligned priorities in global health contribute to fragmentation and competition.
Former Israeli President Dalia Itzik emphasized the importance of international cooperation in solving global health issues, stating that infections know no borders, and sharing lessons learned from past experiences is vital for future pandemic preparedness.
