Number of women working in administrative leader positions in Azerbaijan revealed

"Women are mostly hired in auxiliary positions on civil service in Azerbaijan," said Maleyka Abbaszadeh, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the State Examination Center (SEC) in the presentation ceremony of "Curriculum on Gender Equality in Civil Service" resource, APA reports.

According to M. Abbaszadeh, women demonstrate an equal level of knowledge and skills to men in all types of examinations: "Even some women get higher results in comparison with men. While 55% of participants of the examination on civil service on November 23 were men, the rest were women. 50% of those, who have got certificates, are women. Women usually enter into the system as a reserve staff."

M. Abbaszadeh noted that a number of civil servicemen, working in administrative leader posts is 3,111, 17.01% of them are women: "But when we look at statistics of people, working in auxiliary positions, 44% of the figure falls to share of women."
