The universities in Azerbaijan must give up the student admission plan submitted every year, said Rector of the Baku High Oil School Elmar Gasimov at the event on the 20th anniversary of the State Student Admission Commission (SSAC), APA reports. He said that instead of this, the universities should monitor the processes in secondary schools and study the results of the final exams.
According to the rector, the universities need to know, at least, the results of examinations in the 9th forms in order to know what results may await them in the future: “Beginning from this year, the final exams in secondary schools are held under the common system. That is, the State Student Admission Commission organized both exams. The commission releases concrete numbers and statistics on the results of the exams. The universities need to take these materials and determine their future activities.”
