The Minister said fire safety faults were revealed in 1000 facilities and more than 8 000 houses as a result of inspection. Letters were sent to the local gas supply offices on elimination of detected faults and implementation of urgent measures.
171 control and inspection measures were taken in 56 industrial and research institutions, 49 medical institutions to ensure radiation safety of the population and the environment and to examine the provision of the physical protection of the ionizing radiation sources during 11 months, measures on the elimination of the detected faults were controlled. Dosimetric control was carried out over 376 radioactive sources in 21 facilities during the import and export operations of the radioactive sources.
