Baku. Konul Kamilgizi – APA. “Sometimes private medical centers bring foreign specialists from various countries without the working permit of the Health Ministry and State Migration Service. Such cases should not be allowed in any country, including in Azerbaijan,” Deputy Minister of Health Elsever Aghayev told journalists, APA reports.
He said that private medical centers are not distinguished from state medical centers. Noting that all conditions were created for them, the deputy minister said private medical centers developed along with state medical centers: “But the regulations must be complied at those medical centers. The Health Ministry wants this issue to be solved within the law.”
As regards the advertising of medicines, Deputy Minister said according to the laws on “Advertising”, “Pharmacy” and “Medications”, over-the-counter medicines can be advertised with the permission of the Health Ministry. Elsever Aghayev said there are still shortcomings in this field.
“Addressing the relevant agencies, TV companies, the Health Ministry states that such advertisements must not be done without the permission of the ministry. Moreover, medical centers can advertise themselves within the law,” he said.
Deputy Minister noted that advertising of private clinics will be limited in the amendments to be made to the laws on “Advertising” and “Medications” at the meeting of the parliament’s committee on social policy.
