He said the Education Ministry monitored the situation and attendance at schools. According to initial reports, the attendance has been low at some schools.
“Earlier the Education Ministry had called on parents not to believe the rumors and send their children to school. Teachers were at work, all measures were taken to prevent the disruption of the teaching process. Teaching is normally continued at schools,” he said.
Department chief of the Education Ministry also commented on some teachers, who told the parents not to send their children to school.
“Maybe some teachers demonstrated weakness. There 170 000 teachers in the country. If one or two of them said this, it should not be applied to all teachers. The Education Ministry reiterates that this is observed not only in Azerbaijan, but also in the whole world. People must ignore these rumors and send their children to school so that the teaching process is continued normally,” he said.
