Deputy Minister: “We had an open meeting with the residents of Zagatala, decided to re-inspect some quake-hit houses"

The earthquake affected people of Zagatala and the surrounding villages, as well as head of Executive Authority and heads of local administrations attended the meeting. Approximately 600 people attended the meeting,” Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan Orujali Hajiyev said to APA.


Hajiyev said that the problems of people as a result of earthquake were heard and lists were made: “The main problem is that greater damages occurred due to weak aftershocks after an investigation conducted by the commission in the houses intended to be reconstructed and most of those houses need to be rebuilt. The residents wanted to draw attention to this. We listened to everybody and decided that the commissions should inspect the houses basing on the lists and prepare a report,” he said.


Deputy Minister added that commissions had already started investigations in Danachi, Mukhah, Aliabad, Gozbarakh and Mamrikh villages.“The commission has started inspecting the houses since morning. Necessary measures will be taken basing on their reports,” he said.


Hajiyev said they concerned himself with the situation in Ashagi and Yukhari Tala, Girmir, Bazar, Chobankol and Behmedli villages and met with local residents.
