She said it will be a novelty in the higher education system of Azerbaijan. Maleyka Abbaszadeh said assessment of competency of the bachelor’s degree holders in admission to master’s degree program was set as a task in Azerbaijan for the first time in 2005.
“At that time it was planned to examine their ICT, logic and foreign language skills. Later, it was set as a goal to examine the skills of bachelor’s degree holder on certain specialties,” she said.
“Though higher schools train on certain specialties, later, they offered the examination to us. Since then the rules have been improved. We think that the method of competency will be used in admission to master’s degree program in the coming 3-4 years,” she said.
