Azerbaijani Minister of Emergency Situations attends opening of several schools in quake-affected regions

APA reports that starting his visit from Balakan region, Heydarov has met with the residents of Qabagchol settlement of the region, concerned himself with their problems, viewed the damaged houses. Minister said attended the opening of the reconstructed school and two houses.

Kemaleddin Heydarov also attended the opening of secondary schols in Mamrukh and Faldarli villages of Zagatala region. Following this, Minister held a meeting with the participation of heads of executive powers of Zagatala, Balaken and Gakh regions, chiefs of law-enforcement bodies and representatives of the construction companies that did construction work in the region. The work done in the quake-affected region was assessed, relevant instructions were given regarding the future activities.

Two powerful quakes hit Zagatala on May 7, 2012. As a result of these quakes, more than 3 000 buildings were destroyed and damaged. The funds were allocated from the state budget to eliminate the consequences of the quake.
