Poladov said the territories, where there is a danger of unexploded ordnances in Yevlakh and Aghstafa regions, are being inspected and cleared by the order of BP due to the extension of the corridor, which the pipelines pass through.

“ANAMA cleared 100-meter-wide corridor in those territories when the pipelines were being constructed. In connection with the extension of this corridor till Georgia’s border, the operations must be conducted in the areas, where there is danger of ordnances,” – Poladov underlined.

The ANAMA representative noted that the unexploded ordnances can be found in the area. The underground clearing operations will be conducted, because the ordnances are under the land.

ANAMA started operations on November 26. The operation will cover more than 150 000 square meter area.
