The committee chairman said that AZN 237 mln of it has been allocated from the state budget,, AZN 300 mln by the State Oil Fund and AZN 38 mln by the international organizations: “These funds will allow to improve housing and living conditions of 20 000 people. 8 settlements and residential quarters covering an area of 260 000 square meters with all necessary socio-technical infrastructure facilities will be built for 3941 families or 20 000 internally displaced persons. However, new residential quarters comprising 25 five-storey buildings will be built for 1500 IDP families in Ganja, 15 five-storey buildings for 866 IDP families in Barda, settlements covering 758 families in Masazir district of Absheron peninsula, 225 families in Imishli, 200 families near "Umid" district of Karadagh region, five-storey buildings for 155 families in Gabala, 43 families in Balakan, as well as 142 flats for the Meskhetian Turks.
380 ha area in the territory of Gobu municipality of Absheron district will be allotted to build new residential settlements for the temporary resettlement of 90 000 internally displaced persons from the dormitories in Baku and creation of some jobs. Moreover, the allotment of 120 ha area is being documented.
Relevant work is being done for designing the IDP residential settlement in Gobu and establishing its management structure.”
Hasanov said there is a need to allot 500 ha more area to resettle 110 000 IDPs living in other facilities like military units, schools, kindergartens, sanatoriums, boarding houses, unfinished buildings, occupied flats in Baku.
