3545 houses, 3 apartment houses and 35 schools under construction in Azerbaijan's quake-affected region

10 more schools will be opened in December, Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel-General Kemaleddin Heydarov said at the event on the 7th anniversary of the ministry, APA reports.

Minister said that the ministry's rescue forces were deployed in the quake-hit Zagatala region, a lot of equipment, tents, food products, construction materials were sent, the working groups took necessary measures to assess the damage.

28 680 individual houses, 1179 communal buildings had been inspected by December 7. 3545 houses, 11 communal apartment houses will be rebuilt, 4099 houses, 9 communal apartment houses will be reconstructed.

Under the order of the President, 3545 houses, including 3003 in Zagatala, 327 in Gakh, 215 in Balaken, and 3 communal apartment houses, 35 schools, including 20 in Zagatala, 10 in Gakh, 3 in Shaki and 2 in Balaken are being constructed with the view of eliminating the consequences of the quake.
