Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov, who is visiting Ankara to participate in the Summit of Ministers on Natural Disaster and Emergency Management of the Organization of Turkic States held in the Republic of Turkiye, met with the Minister of Interior Suleyman Soylu, APA reports citing the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
During the meeting, the sides stressed with satisfaction that owing to the political foresight and wisdom of the leaders of the two brotherly countries, Azerbaijan-Turkiye relations, which have risen to the level of strategic alliance, are rapidly expanding in all areas. Both the highest level of moral and political support given to Azerbaijan by brotherly Turkiye during the 44-day Patriotic War and the solidarity shown by Azerbaijan in the fight against the terrible forest fires that occurred in Turkiye last summer are clear examples of these fraternal relations.
The parties exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
