On the Khankandi-Lachin road, the free passage of civilian vehicles continues in the peaceful protest against the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits in the areas under the temporary control of Russian peacekeepers, APA’s correspondent assigned to Shusha reports.
Today vehicles of the International Committee of the Red Cross which carried 3 seriously ill persons to Armenia returned to Khankandi.
Medicines and medical supplies for the Khankandi hospital were brought in the vehicles.
The protestors pulled off the road, creating a path for cars to pass through.
Azerbaijani state and participants of the protest action once again showed that they have no problem with the local people.
Note that an appeal was received from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for creating conditions for the evacuation of 3 seriously ill people in the Khankendi hospital to Armenia.
Azerbaijani side positively responded to the appeal and a condition was created to transport patients from Khankendi to Armenia.
