Residential properties in the permanent settlement fund established in Azerbaijan's liberated territories are intended for the permanent resettlement of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and will be transferred into their ownership, APA reports.
The provision is reflected in the law signed by President Ilham Aliyev introducing amendments to the Housing Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Law "On the Status of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (Persons Displaced Within the Country)", and the Law "On the Social Protection of Internally Displaced Persons and Persons Equal to Them."
The procedure for resettling IDPs in residential properties of the permanent settlement fund in the liberated territories and transferring ownership of those properties to them will be determined by the body (institution) designated by the relevant executive authority.
