Health Minister: We must ensure fair and unbiased use of artificial intelligence

"Artificial intelligence should be integrated into legislation, and the principle of fair use must be followed," Minister of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan Teymur Musayev said during his speech at the "Global Health Crisis: New Frontiers in Preparedness and Equity" panel within the framework of the XII Global Baku Forum, APA reports.

"In recent years, global health has faced serious consequences. Pandemics, climate issues, and interventions in healthcare have led to major results. The world is at a turning point in history. The zero-emission principle, the construction of 'green hospitals,' and training climate-resilient healthcare workers are our main goals. Artificial intelligence should be integrated into legislation, and the principle of fair use must be followed," the minister noted.

According to the minister, the future of the healthcare system must be even more programmed: "The world has faced a shortage of professional staff in the healthcare field. With the application of artificial intelligence, we can monitor and provide recommendations on people's health. Based on this, we must ensure the fair and unbiased use of artificial intelligence. Historically, we have overcome crises in people's lives and achieved significant breakthroughs."
