The natural phenomenon covered northern Russia, Europe, Northwestern Africa, and the Atlantic Ocean.

The first solar eclipse of this year has begun, the Department of Astrophysics at Baku State University (BSU) told APA.

It was noted that the eclipse started at 12:50:35 today and will end at 16:43:25.

This is a partial solar eclipse. The event will last for 3 hours, 52 minutes, and 50 seconds. The maximum eclipse will occur at 14:48:36. The partial eclipse will be visible from northern Russia, Europe, North-West Africa, and the Atlantic Ocean.
