Events on 140th anniversary of Irevan Teachers’ Seminary become known

Baku City Education Department has identified events on marking 140th anniversary of Irevan Teachers’ Seminary, the Department told APA.

Based on the Actions plan approved by the relevant order, Round table, seminars, meetings, exhibitions, and disputes on “Place and role of Irevan Teachers’ Seminary in our national education history are planned.

Essay competition among members of out-of-school educational institutions on “Teachers and graduates of Irevan Teachers' Seminary providing secular education in the region in the XIX century” will be held.

As well as holding a meeting in the Republican Children's Library named after Firidun bey Kocharli on the activity of prominent enlightened intellectual Firudin bay Kocharli in Irevan Teachers’ Seminary is planned.

Moreover, coverage of events dedicated to the 140th anniversary of Irevan Teachers’ Seminary in mass media, organizing programs on the history of seminary and graduates, publishing articles in “Azerbaijani teacher” newspaper, and “Azerbaijani school” magazine are envisaged.
