The protest action held on the Khankendi-Lachin road against the illegal exploitation of useful deposits in the Karabakh economic region of Azerbaijan is going on for twelve days, APA's correspondent in Shusha reports.
Protest action started on December 12 is continued uninterrupted.
Eco-activists, volunteers, and representatives of the civil society express their objections to the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits in the territories of Azerbaijan under the temporary control of Russian peacekeepers, including the "Gizilbulag" gold and "Demirli" copper-molybdenum mines and demand the Russian peacekeepers to ensure monitoring of the Azerbaijani state institutions in those deposits.
Participants of the protest action are chanting slogans "Azerbaijan is awake, it supports its wealth!", "Azerbaijan is united, it owns its wealth!", "Stop environmental crime!", "Stop ecoterror!", “Берегите природу!”, "Экоциду нет! Мониторингу да!" in the different languages.
Note that the road where the action is held is fully open for the transportation of humanitarian and security goods, and the movement of civilian vehicles.
